Bermuda grass is quickly growing grass and can repair its damage on its own. It covers a vast area and cant burnt easily. Bermuda grass is commonly grown in fields, parks and golf courses. Bermuda grass grows in open areas. It is named Bermuda grass after Bermuda Island from where it was originated. Bermuda grass can even grow in worst type of soil. Roots of Bermuda, which are also called rhizomes, in fertile land roots, are deep up to the six inches, and in sandy soil, it is more deep than six inches. It is mostly found in India, South America, Australia, Africa and southern reason of United States.

. Watering- Bermuda grass do not need much watering and maintenance. If it is grown for the purpose of making golf fields or athletic fields. There should be proper and regular routine of watering. Over watering should be checked out because it can harm Bermuda grass and give invitation to insects. At the time of monsoon, little watering should be provided and that also if needed. Bermuda grass has high quality of tolerance and it always gives response of watering and fertilization even in its dry condition.

. Weeding- Bermuda grass is antagonistic and once maintained, it takes weeds on its own. Regular cutting down helps in controlling weeds.

. Fertilization- Bermuda grass is very tolerant and always gives response to fertilizers. This grass needs less quality of fertilizers. Intense cutting down and regular watering is required. Any of the fertilizers can be used for the fertilizing process.

. Regular cutting down- it is essential part of Bermuda grass maintenance. Bermuda grass need daily cutting down when there is spring season for its growth. Bermuda grass needs much cutting than any other grass. The more closely you cut the Bermuda grass, you will find more improved quality, just like vegetables or new grass.

. Illness/insects- Pearl scale is an insect, which is harmful for Bermuda grass. These insect feeds on the roots of grass. In addition, there is no fine method to manage this pearl scale and stop them as they live in roots of plants and putting insecticide down in soil is difficult and not successful. The best way to get rid of pearl scale is to grow seeded Bermuda grasses, which can take away these insects on their own.

. Excess of seeding- excess of seeding give better and improve plantation, moreover, it gives constant green look. If we want to see the ground full of greenery all the time then excess of seeding is needed. Bermuda grass also controls soil erosion and drought as it is deeply rooted in soil. In addition, because of its rapid growth, it is grown in golf courses and athletic field as all time greenery is needed there. Over seeding can insert newer quality of Bermuda grass. However, for this process, grass should be irrigated according to the guidelines and keep away from other factors until it grow accurately.
